What do giving circles do?
Just like the size and structure of a giving circle can vary, so too can the activities of the group. Some circles may choose to focus on learning all that they can about one cause, and then research nonprofit organizations to which they will donate their money.
Other circles may take their activities to the next level by sharing with family, friends and communities what they’ve learned (think writing letters to the editor, or doing short presentations at local schools or churches), and even hosting fundraisers.
While many do, giving circles don’t have to focus on just one cause. Some circles choose to spend their time learning about and putting money toward all different types of issues.
