Donating money to a cause you care about sure can make you feel good—but sometimes that feeling vanishes after you drop the check in the mail or click the “donate” button.

If you’re passionate about a cause and want to do more than send in your money, consider starting or joining a giving circle. Just as a book club can turn a solitary activity like reading into a social event, a giving circle can let you share your compassion for a cause with like-minded people.
