Summary:
To provide financial support to families with children with serious illnesses. Jacob's Heart is a support network for families of children with cancer. More than 40 volunteers help non-English speaking families understand healthcare information available in English only, as well as provide support to families struggling with staying with a critically ill child or coping with the pressing realities of everyday life such as going to work, paying bills and attending to the needs of other family members.
Note: The Angel Network Support Foundation gave this grant. Dissolved in 2004, the purpose of the Support Foundation was to support the charitable efforts of Oprah's Angel Network.
